EN 10084 Carbon Steel tube cover steels with high nickel and chromium content in the low carbon alloy groups. It provides good corrosion resistance. It is made up of a case hardening steel with good hardness and good toughness. BS EN 10084 are generally used after carburizing and quenching, and is mainly used for manufacturing gears, worms, sealing bushings and other components. EN 10084 steel is used for surface hardening when grouting, nitrocarburising, nitriding and for other types of surface chemical-thermal treatment. It is used to make gears,shafts, axles, gear wheels, levers, and boltsand other machine-building and transport components.
